Perfectly Designed Boutique Cafes In Istanbul

Istanbul has a rich history and, thanks to its deep and complex history, a great food culture. In recent years, this unique food culture has met with great service to boost tourism. Until recently, Istanbul did not have any international coffee chains. The boutique cafés that first introduced 3rd wave coffee to Istanbul, on the other hand, gave the city a new taste. The most famous specialty coffee shops in Istanbul have expanded to the city's most attractive neighborhoods, and their popularity is growing by the day.

Perfectly Designed Boutique Cafes In Istanbul

Coffee cafes of the third wave roast their own beans and provide freshly brewed coffee. These boutique cafes, which use a variety of new-generation coffee-brewing methods, have given Istanbul's cafes a fresh look. Let’s have a look at these perfectly designed cafes with great coffee!

Before we dig in, let’s have a look at Istanbul Tourist Pass®. This Pass is owned by a 25+ years old tourism agency and was created as the first tourist pass in Istanbul. Today, in 2023, Istanbul Tourist Pass® is still the most comprehensive tourist entrance card in the city. Check out 100+ handpicked attractions included in Istanbul Tourist Pass®

Coffee Department in Balat

Balat, one of the most popular areas in recent years, is where the Coffee Department is situated. During the Ottoman era, the Fener and Balat districts were among Istanbul's most cosmopolitan areas. As a result, the Fener Balat walking tour is now one of Istanbul's most popular attractions. Very excellent cafés and restaurants have emerged in recent years as the region's tourist industry has increased. Balat is home to two of our recommended third-wave coffee businesses. Coffee Department is one of them, while Brew Coffeeworks is another.

Brew Coffeeworks

In Istanbul's Old City, Brew Coffeeworks is one of the finest specialty coffee businesses. Delicious coffee is served by Brew Coffeeworks, which has locations on the Historic Peninsula's Eminonu and Balat areas. On Hamidiye Street, which runs from Sirkeci Tram Station to Spice Bazaar, Brew Coffeeworks has a store in Eminonu. The Legacy Ottoman Hotel, with its 19th-century architecture, houses this coffee establishment.

Walking from the heart of history, Sultanahmet will take you to the Eminonu branch of this coffee establishment. Its Balat branch is situated close to the Fener Orthodox Patriarchate, on the cafés street.

Coffee Sapiens

Karakoy, Istanbul's most popular neighborhood in recent years, is home to Coffee Sapiens. Between the Old City and Beyoglu, Karakoy serves as a connector. As a result, Karakoy is a mix of old and new.

Many new cafés and hotels have developed in the area as a result of the inauguration of Galataport, Istanbul's new cruise port. One of the district's oldest coffee shops, Coffee Sapiens, is relatively new. The proprietors identify themselves as "Coffee People." They'd want to provide the finest for everyone since they're hooked to coffee. They use unique mixes and innovative roasting methods. For coffee drinkers, it is worth a try.

Petra Coffee Shop

Petra Roasting is one of Istanbul's most exciting coffee businesses. Petra Roasting has numerous locations around the city, where it brews its own roasted coffees using unique methods. Kanyon Shopping Center, one of Istanbul's best shopping malls, includes a Petra Roasting location. Petra Roasting's Kanyon location is also a take-out kiosk.

For those who brew their own coffee at home in Istanbul, Petra Roasting has some excellent coffee beans. In the shop's online store, you can also purchase specialty roasted coffee beans as well as coffee brewing equipment. Petra Roasting's most well-known branch is in the Nisantasi area (Topagaci neighborhood). Nisantasi is a fashion-forward neighborhood near Sisli and Taksim.

Federal Galata

Federal Coffee open its Galata branch in 2015 and as of today, it is a popular spot. Federal has a special place in the Turkish coffee ecosystem. They serve quality coffee and freshly baked goods, yes, but other than that they own their own Academia in which they teach everything about coffee from roasting to brewing.

Federal Galata is a cozy space, and you can enjoy your coffee just near the famous Galata Tower. On their menu, you can taste different coffees made from various beans, special desserts, and freshly baked goods like croissants. So after your Galata Tower visit, you can relax and take a look at the photos you took inside while enjoying your cup of coffee.

You’ll find many amazing coffee shops in Istanbul, next to the iconic attractions. Make sure you save over 50% during your Istanbul trip with Istanbul Tourist Pass®. You can find more information about the Pass here.
